    THE PORTRAIT OF A LABORER
     
    Matthew 9:35-38
    And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity.
     When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.
     Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few.
     So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.
     

    Jesus was/is the ultimate laborer in the Fathers harvest.
     
    He was authorized 
    He was anointed
    He was empowered
    He was directed 
     
    He was confident  ... Because ...
    He was full of the Word
    He was full of the Holy Spirit continually 
     
    We are authorized

    We are anointed

    We are empowered

    We can be directed

    Feeding on the Word daily causes -
    Faith to come.
    Our thoughts to be cleansed.
    Our thoughts to changed to agree with Gods thoughts; 
    Gives the Holy Spirit a point of reference in us when giving us direction.
    Helps to keep a picture of who we truly are in our hearts and minds.
     
    Stay filled with the Holy Spirit
    ... Be being filled .. This is the will of God .. Eph. 5:17-20
    1 Cor 14:4
    Jude 20-21
     
    John 14:12
    Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
     
    Who said that?
    Does He know what He is talking about?
    Even if you and I don't understand it all is what He said still true? 
    Are His Words certain?
    Will He ever change?
    Will His Word ever change?
    Are you a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ? … So this verse applies to you?
    Can you do the works He did? ... Who said you could?
    Does He want you to do them?
    Will He help you do them?
     
    He is looking for laborers ...
    When can you start?
     
    Today you can be a laborer in the Fathers harvest just like Jesus.
     
    Say it … Here am I, Lord send me.
